Help Desk Technician

SEI is looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, solid customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills to join our helpdesk. We provide technical support and over-the-phone troubleshooting for computer hardware and software.

This position comes with $12/hour plus shift differential and solid benefits like 401K and PTO. We will provide all the training and equipment you need to succeed in this position!

Position Mission:

We provide technical support for custom point-of-sale software, hardware, network communications, Windows 7, Office, Exchange and SQL over the phone, or through remote management delivering high customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Answering inbound calls or emails and troubleshooting issues through to resolution
  • Provide accurate documentation for all caller incidents
  • Following up with the customer on open issues
  • Escalate advanced help requests as needed
  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork behaviors and ability to work within approved processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 16 mbps download / 2 mbps upload Internet connection cable/broadband
  • Type 35+WPM
  • A general background in desktop support and network communications
  • Comfortable with Windows O/S, Linux, Office, Exchange, SQL
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to take ownership of a problem
  • Ability to support customers with various knowledge levels
